The production infrastructure that most event planners rent in pieces and pray arrives on time, Dream has built into the walls. This is what San Francisco has been missing: a purpose-built private event venue where the AV, lighting, sound, and staging are already there.
Pull into North Beach on Powell Street, and Dream doesn't announce itself loudly. That's part of the appeal. Inside, the room opens into something that doesn't feel like anywhere else in the city. Seven chandeliers overhead, including one statement piece that anchors the main floor. Six 75-inch screens running your custom branding before a single guest walks in. A built-in DJ booth, a full prep kitchen, a separate 300 sq ft VIP room, and a bar setup that already knows what it's doing.
The operator team has deep industry relationships across the Bay Area, which means your vendor access is better here than it would be if you sourced everything yourself. Your caterer has a proper kitchen to work in. The sound guy isn't troubleshooting on your timeline. The lights are already programmed. From an intimate 30-person dinner to a 222-person reception, Dream handles it without the usual circus of coordination.
North Beach is one of the most walkable, transit-accessible neighborhoods in San Francisco. Cable car stops nearby. Multiple parking garages within two blocks. Rideshare drop-off easy on Powell. Your guests arrive. They walk in. They're already impressed.

Before you book Dream.
Weddings and receptions, milestone birthdays (40th, 50th, 60th), quinceañeras, baby and bridal showers, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate events, product launches, film and photo shoots, and private celebrations of all kinds. The flexible layout works for seated dinners, cocktail receptions, dance-floor events, and hybrid formats. If your event has a production component — screens, sound, custom lighting, a DJ — Dream is built for it.
Yes. Dream has a full prep kitchen and you are welcome to bring any licensed caterer you choose. For beverage service, Dream works exclusively with their preferred vendor network. No outside alcohol can be brought onto the premises.
The rental covers the full venue for your agreed hours, luxury ghost chairs and tables in round or banquet configuration, lounge furniture, the full tech setup (six 75" screens, pro sound, custom lighting, DJ booth), seven chandeliers, VIP room, prep kitchen, WiFi, and a dedicated event coordinator. Catering and beverage service are priced separately.
Weekend evenings fill two to three months ahead, especially during peak season (September through December). Weekday events and daytime events are often available with two to four weeks of lead time. The sooner you reach out, the more flexibility you will have on date and time.
North Beach has several public parking garages within two blocks of 1524 Powell St. Street parking is available but limited on weekends. The venue is accessible by Muni bus lines, close to cable car routes, and easy to reach by rideshare on Powell Street.
Yes. Site visits are available by appointment. Tell us your date and guest count and we will arrange a walkthrough that fits your schedule.
All of it is included in your venue rental. The six 75" screens displaying your custom branding or slideshows, the professional sound system, the custom lighting package, and the built-in DJ booth are part of the space. You are not renting AV equipment separately or troubleshooting on the day.
