Why This Venue

Everyone Stays. Everyone Is Together. Nothing Is Rushed.

The biggest problem with most event venues is that the event ends and everyone goes home. At Conestoga Ranch, nobody is going home. Your guests are staying in glamping tents steps from the celebration. The rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, the reception, the morning-after brunch, and the late-night bonfire all happen in the same place.

That changes the pace of everything. Conversations last longer because nobody is checking the time. The photographer captures moments in natural light by the lake instead of a hotel hallway. The corporate offsite has space for breakout discussions around a fire pit instead of a windowless conference room.

The venue is the experience. You are not decorating a blank room. You are bringing people to a place that does the work for you.

Conestoga sits on the north shore of Bear Lake, about two hours from Salt Lake City. The turquoise water and mountain backdrop are real. This is not a resort that looks good in photos and disappoints in person.

What we know

Peak season at Conestoga Ranch (June through September, especially weekends) books months in advance. If you are considering a summer wedding or corporate retreat, reach out as early as possible. Shoulder season (May and October) often offers better availability and lower rates, with temperatures still comfortable for outdoor events.

Common Questions

About Booking Conestoga Ranch

How far in advance should I book a wedding at Conestoga?+

Peak summer weekends (June through September) book six to twelve months in advance. Shoulder season dates in May and October have better availability and can sometimes be booked three to four months out.

Is Conestoga available for corporate retreats?+

Yes. Corporate retreats are one of the most popular event types at Conestoga. The combination of on-site lodging, indoor meeting space, and outdoor gathering areas makes it work for teams of 20 to 100+. Be aware that cell service is limited, which some teams view as a feature rather than a problem.

What is glamping like at Conestoga?+

Safari-style canvas tents with real beds, linens, bedside tables, and lighting. This is not roughing it. Shared bathhouse facilities are nearby. The tents are spacious and furnished, closer to a boutique hotel room under canvas than camping.

What if it rains?+

The indoor event pavilion seats 100 to 150 and is the standard rain contingency for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. Discuss your backup plan with the events team when you book.
