When teams book

There's no wrong time to book. Teams settle their celebrations at every point in the year, and each approach works.

Plan the year in May

Some teams book every offsite, meeting and celebration for the rest of the financial year in one go, so the holiday party is settled before summer.

Book in late summer

August and September give the most Friday and Saturday dates to choose from for a December party, and the big rooms go first.

Celebrate in the new year

Teams that are busiest in November and December celebrate in January or February, once the season has passed.

Pick the format first

Group size decides the format, and the format decides which space fits.

Team lunch or dinner, 20 to 60

A themed meeting room from $450, with your own caterer.

Program and reception, 60 to 250

A toast or awards in the Gothic Room, then the reception next door.

Whole company, 250 and up

The Large Banquet Hall for 460, or several rooms together.

How much does a holiday party cost in Salt Lake City?

At the Salt Lake Masonic Temple, rooms start at $450. A Saturday in the Large Banquet Hall is $4,000 in room rental for up to 460 guests, plus a $500 cleaning fee. Catering comes from a licensed caterer you choose, so you set the food budget.

Is it ever too late to book?

No. Teams book in May, in late summer and in the weeks before. Weeknights, lunches and January dates give the widest choice. Tell us your window and we’ll find what’s open.

Can we hold it during the day?

Yes. A holiday lunch or an afternoon program works well, and the parking makes a daytime event easy for a whole office. Read the holiday party guide
